Do not become too frustrated over other peoples weak faith

Whilst we are not 'of' the world we are 'in' it; and 'in' it we are for a reason. We should be salt and light to the earth - God's witnesses (Matthew 5:13-16) Through our ability, as BAC's, to understand God's Word spiritually (1 Corinthians 2:14) we should take what we know and use it to teach, to correct, to exhort, to instruct (2 Timothy 3:16) both those who are naturally-minded (John 8:43) and those brethren who are weak in the faith (2 Thessalonians 3:15).

Yet do not become too downhearted over those who will not heed God's Word or accept it for what it says, for justice will be done in the end, whether for better or for worse. As men we have freewill; we are free to follow the foolishness of men and the wisdom of God or the wisdom; and message of God but the foolishness of men (1 Corinthians 1:18-31). If brethren refuse to believe things in the Bible, but rather believe things of the world such as science, then that is their choice. We can see in Romans 1:28 that even God Himself will not force Himself on those who chose not to listen.

Concerning those brethren who are too worldly minded to appreciate the spiritual things contained in God's Word, may Romans 14 encourage and comfort our hearts. In Romans 14, in the context of vegetarianism, Paul instructs us not to judge one another on our individual actions and beliefs that we think are necessary, nor hold anyone higher than another because of them (14:1-14). Verse 6 tells us, "He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it." The Lord is the Lord over all, He is the Lord over those who eat and the Lord over those who do not eat. He is the Lord over life and the Lord over death.

To those who are downhearted and frustrated or upset over a brethren who does not believe certain doctrine or cannot help but look at God's word through world-tinted glasses, do not worry yourself so much that you yourself become saddened for the Lord is Lord over all. That particular brother or sister will be judged accordingly, whether they will lose or gain rewards, justice will be done and God will always be exalted in the end. (1 Corinthians 3). He is the Lord in peoples strength and in their weakness.

We cannot decide for other people. All we can do is live as we have been called, as living sacrifices to God (Romans 12). Behave like a Christian (Romans 12: 9-21). During the times when rejection may come or when you witness brethren missing out on the glories of God through their actions or beliefs, whilst continuously striving for them in the love of Christ, keep in mind that the Lord will always be exalted in the end. In the race of faith that we as Christians are all partaking in, keep your eyes on the finish line, that is perfection in the presence of God our Father. Do not focus for too long on the other runners running alongside you. How they finish the race is up to them. Focus on yourself. (1 Peter 1:16 "Be Holy for I am Holy").
