Jesus in Daniel in the lions den

Following from the previous post, lets continue at Daniel 6 . If you've read any other posts on here, you've grasped the fact that everything in the Bible points to Christ and the Gospel. Lets look at how Daniel is a picture of the Christ to come, approximately 548 years later: Just like Jesus, Daniel faces opposition from the local leaders of his day. Jesus often received hostility from the Saduccees and Pharisees, who made up the Jewish council. ( Daniel 6:4 "...so the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel..."). Similarly, Mark 3:2 states "some Pharisees were trying to find fault with Jesus..." Verse 6 states, "then the Pharisees went out and began to make plans with the Herodians. They wanted to kill Jesus." The religious leaders of Jesus' day were unable to find fault with Him despite their efforts. The Gospel in Daniel and the Lions' Den

Even in the days of Daniel, approximately 540 years before the coming of Christ, God knew His Gospel plan for salvation. Isaiah 46:10 states " Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times   things   that are not   yet   done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,  And I will do all My pleasure,’" Throughout the Old Testament God uses types and shadows to illustrate the salvation to come through Jesus Christ. The story of Daniel in the lions’ den is no exception. Daniel 6: Daniel in the Lions’ den: Through Daniel’s integrity and excellence in spirit he was promoted above all the other governors in the land. The other governors decided to come up with a plan to have Daniel removed.
