The Gospel in Daniel and the Lions' Den
Even in the days of Daniel, approximately 540 years before the coming of Christ, God knew His Gospel plan for salvation. Isaiah 46:10 states " Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’" Throughout the Old Testament God uses types and shadows to illustrate the salvation to come through Jesus Christ. The story of Daniel in the lions’ den is no exception. Daniel 6: Daniel in the Lions’ den: Through Daniel’s integrity and excellence in spirit he was promoted above all the other governors in the land. The other governors decided to come up with a plan to have Daniel removed. Verses 3- 5 “Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. 4 So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge again
