Catholicism is to be commended for their hard stance to sinful things and their attitude to those less fortunate. They stand firm in their beliefs over difficult issues such as abortion, in comparison to the Church of England, whoes favourite word these days seems to be 'compromise'. But argubaly Catholicism is doing more harm than good by deceiving ignorant people into thinking they are saved. They do this through their heathen rituals such as repeating 'hail mary', idolotry through worshipping Mary and not solely Jesus, and deceiving people into thinking that they are able to earn salvation through confession and various pennants. It is said that it is much harder to evangelise to Westerners than it is to people in other parts of the world. This is not because Westerners are against the Gospel more than other people, it is because they are ignorant to its message. It is safe to say that this phrase, found in Job 1:21 will be applicable to all of us at some time in our life, whether its the first half of the phrase or the second half. We live in a fallen world. The world is cursed ( Genesis 3 ). The world is full of loss, pain, sorrow, hurt, death, illness, injustice, fraud, deceit, lies, deception: the negatives are endless. Therefore it is inevitable that our lives will not always be rosy. Sometimes this is a consequence of our actions, sometimes this is the consequence of somebody else's actions, and sometimes it is simply a consequence of living on this earth.
