Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6 “ But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The only way we can please God is through faith. Faith makes us strong in the Lord. Faith makes us holy. As humans we will always fall short, both of God’s standards and our own expectations. If you are a Christian… don’t worry! Enjoy your journey. Yes, there will be hard times, but take comfort from the fact that God will always be at your side. Isaiah 43:2 : “ When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.” It doesn’t matter what you do. You cannot please God by good works. You cannot disappoint God by bad works. God knows you fall short of his standards. That’s why He sent His Son and gave us grace. Naturally, as Christians our desires should e...

Focus on the Finish Line

A big fear of mine is treating grace as a common thing. As a teen I despised hypocrisy and people who said one thing when in front of the church folk and act completely different when they were with their friends. I saw how damaging it was to the faith, even to my own walk with the Lord. Whilst the hypocrisy of other Christians will be no excuse for why we didn’t accept the Lord when we stand before God, one of the biggest stumbling blocks to those who seek God is other Christians. I have since come to terms with this issue, drawing from  1 Corinthians 9:24: “24  Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” Our walk with God is exactly that, between ourselves and God. When you run a race you look at the finish line, not at the other runners. Do not focus on those around you; focus on God. The only person you have to answer to God about is yourself. -BACChristian.

Faith makes Grace Strong

Grace is the most powerful notion in the Bible, yet if you don’t have spiritual faith in grace it has no power in your lives. You can be a scholar on grace and know everything relating to it, but that does not mean grace will have any power over your life. The Bible states that we are saved through grace by faith. We need faith for grace to have power in our lives. ( Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9  not of works, lest anyone should boast.) We need faith in the knowledge that our sins have been forgiven through the Lord Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. The more faith you have in the workings of grace within you, the more of an effect grace will have over you and the more powerful it will be. Faith in the fact that you are perfect through Christ in God’s eyes will give you freedom from the pull of sin. It will cause you to be dead to sin and alive to righteousness; free from sin and slaves ...

Nick Clegg flies 'Gay pride flag' over Whitehall

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9381937/Nick-Clegg-flies-gay-pride-flag-in-Whitehall-for-first-time.html The rainbow is a symbol of God's promise to us that He will never flood the world again. The 'Gay community' have adopted this rainbow symbol as their logo. Does anybody else think it is quite ironic that when Nick Clegg decides to fly the rainbow flag over Whitehall, Britain suffers terrible flooding and a very, very wet June and July? -BACChristian
