The 'works' Gospel

The works gospel believes that you can earn your salvation. The works gospel is completely unbiblical. It is self-centered and prideful. Jesus is the finisher of the faith and only He is worthy enough to finish it.

Romans 14:6 tells us, "no one is good, no not one!". Romans 3:23 tells us, "we all fall short of the glory of God."

We are not good and fall way below God's standards (that being the 10 commandments), therefore we are not worthy do do any work ourselves in relation to our salvation. To think we are worthy enough to influence such heavenly matters is arrogance and an insult to Christ and what He did for us on the cross.

We must trust in Christ and have faith that He, as a perfect man, was sufficient to take our punishment upon the cross.
