Leviticus 25 tells us about the year of Jubilee. The year of Jubilee occured every 50 years. There were 49 years and then the 50th year would be the Jubilee year. ( Leviticus 25:8 ). The Jubilee was known as the Sabbath of Sabbaths. It was ultimate thing, just as the inner santuary of the Tabernacle was known as the Holy of Holies, or Jesus is the King of Kings. The sabbath was the seventh day of the week. In Leviticus 25:1-7 God instructs the Israelites not only to keep the sabbath on the seventh day of the week, but also to keep the seventh year as a sabbath year of rest for the land. Grace is defined as 'd ivine love and protection bestowed freely on people'. 'The state of being protected and sanctified by the favour of God.' There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. Salvation comes through the grace of God alone - an undeserved gift, made available to us through the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross. God loves the world so much that he sent His one and only son to die for you, to take the punishment that you deserve, that whoever believes on Him shall not die but have eternal life. Whoever believes on Him shall be joined to God, as He intended us to be.  God created man to have a personal relationship with Him. Sin stops that from happening. The sacrifice of Jesus has the power to cover that sin and allow us to have a relationship with God once more. God's heart aches for you and longs for you to repent and trust in Christ. The works gospel believes that you can earn your salvation. The works gospel is completely unbiblical. It is self-centered and prideful. Jesus is the finisher of the faith and only He is worthy enough to finish it. Romans 14:6 tells us, "no one is good, no not one!". Romans 3:23 tells us, "we all fall short of the glory of God." We are not good and fall way below God's standards (that being the 10 commandments), therefore we are not worthy do do any work ourselves in relation to our salvation. To think we are worthy enough to influence such heavenly matters is arrogance and an insult to Christ and what He did for us on the cross. We must trust in Christ and have faith that He, as a perfect man, was sufficient to take our punishment upon the cross. -BACChristian

Psalm 18:2 : The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my Shield and the horn of my Salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 62:2: He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. The Bible describes Christ as our 'rock'. Why is this? To find out why Christ is described as our 'rock' one must look at the Old Testament (OT) at the story of God giving the 10 commandments to Moses. Everything in the OT is paralleled in the New Testament (NT). The OT is natural, that is physical, whilst the NT is spiritual.
