Faith makes Grace Strong

Grace is the most powerful notion in the Bible, yet if you don’t have spiritual faith in grace it has no power in your lives. You can be a scholar on grace and know everything relating to it, but that does not mean grace will have any power over your life.

The Bible states that we are saved through grace by faith. We need faith for grace to have power in our lives. (Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.) We need faith in the knowledge that our sins have been forgiven through the Lord Jesus Christ’s death on the cross.

The more faith you have in the workings of grace within you, the more of an effect grace will have over you and the more powerful it will be. Faith in the fact that you are perfect through Christ in God’s eyes will give you freedom from the pull of sin. It will cause you to be dead to sin and alive to righteousness; free from sin and slaves to righteousness. (Romans 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.)

If you are struggling with a particular sin today, or your thought life is depraved and you feel condemned then you don’t have enough faith in grace. Realise that the pull of grace to righteousness is much stronger than the pull of temptation to sin. The opposite of having faith in grace is feeling condemned and feeling like you are not good enough. That feeling is not of God and will keep you in bondage. It will keep you as a slave to sin, where, as a Christian, you are not supposed to be! Grace makes you free. Trust in grace today. Have faith in grace.

John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Faith in grace makes grace within you strong. It propels you to righteousness. Remember that through grace in Christ we are righteous. It is much easier to be righteous and stay righteous, rather than be sinners and work towards righteousness. Have faith in the fact that you have been made righteous through someone elses actions - Christ's. Through grace you are righteous in Christ.

For those Sci-Fi fans out there (I love Back to The Future… is that classed as Sci-Fi? I doubt it, but you know what I mean…) Through faith in grace we have been literally teleported from a world of sin, into a righteous being sat at the right hand of God through Christ. Take heed of 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith, I have finished the race”. Through Christ, BAC’s have fought the good fight, they have kept the faith and they have finished the race, all through Christ.
Have faith in grace that grace covers all.
